Our Philosophy

The Caroline County County Department of Corrections is not currently designed for direct supervision and follows traditional jails but one which has proven to be a safer than most managing inmate populations. The jail, through a combination of inmate rules enforcement, discipline, zero tolerance for criminal offenses committed by inmates, officer deployment, and interpersonal communication techniques our staff effectively controls inmate behavior. The results there are significantly lower rate of assaults by inmates.
