What can I expect when I arrive?
Your first days and weeks as an inmate can be challenging. It is important to remember that the many rules exist for your safety and the safety of our staff. After initial booking, you will be moved into one of the wings (often called “tiers”) of the jail. Our staff will issue you some basic supplies like a uniform and personal hygiene products. Like all institutions, the jail runs on a schedule. After the initial shock wears off, you will find that much of life behind bars involves routines.
